Dogpatch Artists

An Arts Guide for San Francisco's Dogpatch District

Gloria Morales, Printmaker

Gloria Morales is from the State of Oaxaca, Mexico and received her BFA from the National School of Fine Arts in Mexico City.

She moved to San Francisco in 1988 and the following year she became a member of the Graphic Arts Workshop currently located in the Dogpatch area in Potrero Hill. She has participated in numerous collective exhibitions, the annual SF Open Studios and is a member of the California Society of Printmakers.

As an artist using a visual vocabulary inspired in nature and nurture in the traditions of my cultural heritage as well as my appreciation of other cultures of the world I want to be a medium to express the continuity of life through changes in nature and the cycles of life and death where the past, the present and the future simultaneously coexist.
